Hotmelt Film raw material

Adhesive films are made of different raw materials, such as TPU, Copes, Copa, EVA, EEA, etc.

TPU thermoplastic film is the most used in shoe applications because of its elasticity and strength, it also has good tearing and folding resistance.

Hotmelt EVA film is the most economical choice, some low melt EVA film makes the lamination process easier. It does not need too much heat to activate.

Hot melt Co-Polyamide films are widely used in high-end textile, badge logos, and automotive decorative.

Copes film has very good washing resistance it has a lot of advantages which makes it suitable for garment and technical applications.

Film various functions

In terms of bonding force, the adhesive film has its unique bonding advantage. Due to the closed surface structure, it makes every part of the materials has good bonding strength. Besides that, the film can have waterproof, washing resistance, enforcement, barrier function.

Film thickness, layers, carrier, and paper

Choosing the right thickness is mostly depends on the specific laminated textile, bonding strength, lamination process, and heating condition. The thicker the film is, the better bonding result we may reach. But if the film is too thick, the laminated textile may lose some flexibility, which will also cause the waste of glue.

With advanced technology, our film can have two or three layers. Each layer can be made of different materials. In this case, it could bond with two different substrates and some layers can be a barrier layer.

For application needs, some adhesives may need a layer of carrier or paper. It can be used in die-cutting applications.
